The Ultimate Digital Handshake
The Ultimate Digital Handshake represents the complete journey from discovery to agreement. Istockhomes brings the important parts of a transaction together:
- A person or business creates a profile.
- An item, service, or opportunity is listed.
- Another user discovers it.
- The parties communicate and negotiate.
- The terms are accepted.
- The transaction is completed and recorded.
The platform is designed to make the agreement clear, traceable, and easier to manage.
Buying, Selling, and Negotiating
Istockhomes supports both fixed-price and negotiated transactions. A seller may publish an asking price while allowing buyers to submit offers. Buyers and sellers can communicate before accepting final terms.

Istockhomes Certified and Verified
Verification helps users understand whether a person, business, listing, or professional has completed an Istockhomes verification process.
Verification does not replace your own judgment. Always review the listing, confirm the identity of the other party, and use the platform’s transaction and communication tools where available.
See: Trust, Safety, and Verification

4. Creating a Listing
A listing is the page that presents an item, service, business opportunity, or other asset to potential buyers or users.
Start here: Create a Listing
Choose a Category
Select the category that most accurately describes what you are offering. The category affects how your listing appears in search and which information buyers may expect to see.
Choose from areas such as:
- Homes and real estate.
- Cars and vehicles.
- Aircraft.
- Boats and yachts.
- Art.
- Businesses.
- Domains and websites.
- Services.
- Events.
- Investments.
- Other marketplace categories.
Add a Title and Description
Use a clear title that identifies the listing quickly. The description should explain:
- What is being offered.
- Its condition or current status.
- Important features.
- Location.
- Availability.
- Included and excluded items.
- Known limitations.
- Any relevant legal or ownership information.
Avoid misleading claims or information that cannot be verified.
Add Photos
Use clear, accurate images. Include:
- A primary image.
- Different angles.
- Important features.
- Any damage or defects.
- Supporting documents where appropriate, without exposing private information.
Only upload images that you own or have permission to use.
Set the Location
Enter the relevant location or service area. For privacy-sensitive listings, consider whether an exact address should be displayed publicly.
Location information should be accurate enough for a buyer to understand the opportunity without unnecessarily exposing private details.
Set the Asking Price
Enter the price and currency. Explain whether the price is:
- Fixed.
- Negotiable.
- A starting price.
- Per unit.
- Per hour.
- Per minute.
- A lease or rental price.
- Subject to additional costs.
Allow Negotiation
If negotiation is enabled, buyers may submit offers through Istockhomes. Decide in advance:
- Your minimum acceptable price.
- Whether you will accept counteroffers.
- Whether the listing will remain active during negotiation.
- Which terms are negotiable.
- Whether deposits or additional conditions apply.
Publish the Listing
Before publishing, review:
- Title.
- Description.
- Images.
- Category.
- Location.
- Price.
- Availability.
- Negotiation settings.
- Contact and transaction instructions.
Select Publish when the listing is ready.
Edit or Retire a Listing
You can edit a listing when information changes. Retire or pause it when:
- The item has sold.
- The service is unavailable.
- The listing is no longer accurate.
- You do not want to receive new offers.
Existing accepted transactions should be managed through the transaction process rather than simply deleting the listing.
5. Finding Things

Browse listings by category, location, price, and other available filters.
Open Browse.
Search
Use search to find:
- Listings.
- People.
- Businesses.
- Services.

Review:
- Profile history.
- Verification status.
- Business associations.
- Listings.
- Reviews or available activity.

6. Offers and Negotiations

To make an offer:
- Open the listing.
- Review the description, price, and terms.
- Select Make an Offer.
- Enter your proposed price.
- Add any conditions or message.
- Review the offer.
- Submit it.
Only submit an offer when you understand what you are proposing.
Receive an Offer
When someone makes an offer on your listing, review:
- Proposed price.
- Conditions.
- Timing.
- Delivery or fulfillment requirements.
- Payment expectations.
- Any attached message or documents.
You can accept, reject, or counter the offer.
Counteroffer
A counteroffer changes one or more proposed terms. Clearly state what has changed, such as:
- Price.
- Quantity.
- Completion date.
- Delivery method.
- Included services.
- Payment schedule.
Accept
Before accepting, confirm that:
- The price is correct.
- The parties are correct.
- The item or service is clearly identified.
- Conditions are understood.
- Timing is realistic.
- Payment and fulfillment arrangements are clear.
Select Accept only when you intend to proceed.
Reject
Reject an offer when the terms are not acceptable. You may include a short explanation, but you are not required to disclose private information.
Continue Negotiating
If neither party is ready to accept, continue using counteroffers and messages. Keep the negotiation specific and avoid relying on informal statements that are not reflected in the offer.
What Happens When an Offer Is Accepted
An accepted offer creates the basis for a transaction. Depending on the listing, the next steps may include:
- Confirming the accepted terms.
- Completing checkout or payment.
- Providing delivery or fulfillment information.
- Completing the service or transfer.
- Recording completion.
- Handling any applicable dispute or refund process.
Immutable Accepted Terms
Once an offer is accepted, the accepted terms should be treated as the agreed record. If the parties need to change the agreement, use the available amendment, cancellation, or new-offer process rather than silently changing the original terms.
Keep copies of important transaction information.
7. Buying and Paying
Accepted Transaction
After acceptance, open the transaction record and review:
- Item or service.
- Buyer and seller.
- Price.
- Fees.

Payment Methods
Available payment methods may vary by location, transaction type, and platform availability. Use only payment methods presented through the official Istockhomes process.

Where payment protection is available, review the applicable conditions before paying. Understand:
- When funds are authorized.
- When funds are released.
- What happens if fulfillment fails.
- Which disputes are covered.
- Which deadlines apply.
Delivery and Fulfillment
The buyer and seller should agree on:
- Delivery method.
- Collection location.
- Completion date.
- Required documents.
- Responsibility for shipping, insurance, taxes, or transfer costs.
Mark the transaction complete only after the agreed item or service has been received or delivered.
Release of Funds
Funds may be released according to the transaction status and applicable payment rules. Do not assume that payment is final until the transaction record confirms the status.
Receipts and Transaction Records
Keep receipts, messages, accepted offers, and supporting documents. These records may be needed for accounting, support, disputes, or legal purposes.
Disputes, Refunds, and Reversals
If something goes wrong:
- Contact the other party through Istockhomes.
- Review the transaction terms.
- Gather evidence.
- Use the available dispute or support process.
- Do not delete relevant messages or documents.
Refunds and reversals depend on the transaction terms, payment method, and applicable policies.

- Accurate personal or business information.

- Relevant experience.

- Provide the item or service as described.
- Update fulfillment status.

What Paruse Is
Paruse allows users to discover profiles and express interest through simple actions. It is separate from a marketplace transaction unless the users later choose to communicate or transact through another Istockhomes feature.

Like or Pass
Use Like when you want to express interest and Pass when you do not. Your choices may affect what appears next.
Mutual Matches
